Are you an adult beginner looking for violin lessons? We’ve had many enquiries from adult beginners about violin lessons over the years asking if it’s too late to learn. We strongly believe it’s never too late to learn the violin, no matter what age you are!
Learning to play any musical instrument has a number of benefits, – developing motor skills, coordination, cognitive and listening skills. Not to mention the social benefits of ensemble and group playing.
The reality of course is that if you want to be an international competition winning soloist then starting as a child is almost certainly a prerequisite! But even if you start learning as an adult there is no reason that you can’t enjoy the challenge of developing a new skill, meeting like-minded people in an ensemble, orchestra, or group, and add a rewarding activity to your life. We have many students who also take exams, and this can be fantastic goal to work towards.
At the Kodurand Violin School we have many years of experience teaching the violin to adults beginners of all ages and levels. We teach complete beginners to more advanced amateurs, so we can tailor lessons to suit your goals. We also have two free student concerts in our summer and winter seasons which is a wonderful chance to meet your fellow classmates and enjoy performing in a friendly and supportive environment. Simon is also an instrument expert, and if you’re looking for advice about buying or upgrading a violin or bow then have a look at his website.
